Dr. William Samoe Ruto was on September 13, 2022 inaugurated as the 5th President of Kenya in a colourful ceremony at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani the Cathedral of Kenyan sports.

Finally Rigathi Gachagua nailed it and officially becoming the second Deputy President under the 2010 Constitution.

Then the military handover was underway after the Judiciary.

Outgoing President Uhuru Kenyatta stepped forward and handed over a copy of the constitution of Kenya to the Incoming President William Ruto as Aide-de-Camp Brig Timothy Stelu Lekolool smoothly moved in the background from the outgoing commander in chief to the incoming commander in chief to signify the change of power.

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta listens in as as his predecessor made his maiden speech

He continued to outline what his government will be undertaking in the few days.

After President William Ruto finished making his maiden speech the national anthem was played and he granted permission to leave the venue which was his first military duty as the commander in chief of armed forces .

The new head of state saw off his predecessor Uhuru Kenyatta as he left Kasarani Stadium after a smooth handover of power.

President William Ruto took to the Open presidential Toyota Landcruiser flanked by his ADC Timothy Stelu Lekolool and Chief Of General Staff Robert Kariuki Kibochi and made his first lap of honour .

Looked like he was enjoying every moment that was unfolding before him.

The President greeting members of the public from bullet proof glass surrounded Toyota Land Cruiser shortly after ascending to the highest office in the Land.

Jubilant Kenyans at the stadium showed their excitement to the President as he descended the ceremonial land cruiser and boarded his official moments later exiting the Moi International Sports Centre , Kasarani as the 5th President Of The Republic Of Kenya.
